India Eddy
India Eddy is an actor, writer, filmmaker, and professional other-things-er. They grew up as a third culture kid and, over the years, put down roots in Sheboygan, Skopje, La Paz (Bolivia), Washington DC, Bangkok, Brasilia, Asheville, and, finally, St. Louis to pursue a BFA in acting at Webster University’s Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts. Through this volatile lifestyle, India found consistency and community in storytelling. They never had a typical definition of home, so they made their own through their favourite movies, TV shows, and novels.
India became determined very early on to create the kinds of stories that gave them a sense of belonging growing up as a certified weird kid. They started writing seriously in the third grade after participating in their school’s National Novel Writing Month program and coming out with a (terrible) novel about some adventurous cats. After that, acting and filmmaking followed naturally as they participated in their school’s theatre program and spent their free time filming parody adaptations of their favourite books. Inspired by the great writer-actors of their favourite sitcoms like Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, and Quinta Brunson, India hopes to spend their career inserting themselves into as many parts of the storytelling process as they can.
